Hi all,

I have been searching the site for solutions to this problem I am seeing - but not finding a post that matches my situation.

During normal acceleration (not hard acceleration as there are no problems then), once the RPMs pass 3000, the car starts to buck and the tachometer starts hopping like crazy up to the red-line. If I ease back a bit it goes away. No check engine light comes on either.

I have replaced the spark plugs, wires, distributor.

What could be causing this?

Maybe a fuel filter or injector

In continuing my search, I found this post on the preludeonline.com forum, stating that it could be the ICM.

Could that be it?

Clean out the EGR or even try another ECU if you have axcess to one.
