H22 into 01 CRV
I have 3 hondas.. my 97hb is the project... i have a 93 beater civic that the crank pully bilt backed out on and ****ed up.. so i got the CRV (2wd) its my new dd.. love it other than power.. So i got to thinking.. the motor in the beater is a frank anyways and its OLD.. so im gonna replace it anyways (its and automagic like my CRV).. So why not just throw an 96+ h22 automatic in the crv and put the b20 in the beater.. It seams like it would be pretty straight forward as long as the civic h22 swap mounts would work like i think they will.
My next question would be.. i tow a boat with the CRV (stainless brake lines and a much bigger trans cooler).. I dont know the gear ratios for the two trans. (guess i should google) would it be better to do an H2B and keep the CRV trans dues to lower gearing.. or would it be ok to keep the prelude trans? id like the extra umph when not towing the boat.
