Header Problem need help ASAP
Putting some headers on my car it is a 1991 honda accord ex model it is my delivery car thought id give it some more get up with the headers as it has full exhaust now i have the headers and the exhaust all off now when i go to put on the aftermarket headers on it hits the alternator all the bolts line up but the headers wont bolt up to the head because of the fact the headers on the right side is hitting the alternator causing it to not go onto the car any help should i remove the alternator as it is connected to alot of other things and the alternator is hooked onto a bracket which is also in the way im lost lol any help greatly appreciated
im not too lazy to do anything iv been working on this since last night and iv gotten to the point where i am but even if i loosen the alt to make space theres still the bracket ya know? im just trying to get this done il do anything i need to do to get it done

il try to get some pictures but all the bolts line up and everything just the right side of the header wont go on because its hitting the alternator
the thing im thinking of is if it was a defective header it wouldnt match up ya know if i could just get the alternator out of the way things would be beautifull
It's funny you mention that because exhaust ports on 94-97 accords are not equally spaced. Ports 2 and 3 are closer together. I'm just telling you that b/c your username suggests you drive a 1997 accord.
The OP's generation accord does have equal spacing though so I guess he may have got the wrong header.
Is it the actual piping that's hitting the alternator? Or the flange of the header?

I know, some ports are 0-00-0 and some are 0-0-0-0
