Spend that extra money and run it on what it was tuned with.

i personally think youll be fine, it really depends on how your timing map is setup. Ive been fine in the past doing such activities.

run the same gas that you are tuned on. dont take a chance on your motor.

whats better the sunoco c16 or VP c12?
if the VP C12 is better, i might just retune it.

better depends. they are both good. c16 has a higher anti-knock threshold due to its higher octane. the more timing/cylinder pressure, the more prone to knock the motor is and thus requiring higher octane fuel. if you want to go ***** out, then get tuned on vp-import. but get your credit card out. hahaha

if i was you, i would mix the c12 in with the c16 until the c12 is gone. i would also lower my boost pressure and/or take away a degree or so of timing if doing so. but like others have previously said, it depends on how much timing you are running. if you are on the edge with max timing for c16, then the c12 could drop your octane level down to an unsafe level.

What kind of setup is it ? NA or boost ?

c16 is not a great fuel for NA and you would prob pick up a few hp by tuning on c12 if thats the case.

Your gasoline doesn't care what stroke your motor is.

If you have high enough compression Q16 works pretty well on N/A .. I picked up 56HP going from a type-r header to a hytech header, and going from 110octane to Q16. The motor was 14.5:1 compression B16.. But if your compressions not up there Q16s not a good choice for N/A.. It doesn't seem to respond as well on anything 12.5:1 or lower. And realistically your motor should hit MBT way before you hit the knock threshold of C16 OR C12 so unless your motor was tuned with a severely overtimed map, going from C16 to C12 should be perfectly safe.
