pulled the head off my integra to find out i have burnt valves. what steps should i take now towards repair?

burned valves are normally caused by oil soaking the exhaust valve which will prevent cooling on the seat. the valve overheats and shatters. you have either A: bad valve seals B: worn guides or C: worn piston rings. you may even have all 3. if it were me i would pull the motor. do a new hone, install new rings. check the guides for clearance replace all 8 exhaust valves and have a new valve job done on all 16. buy new valve seals and call it a day

 

I cracked an exhaust valve because my seals were bad. So its a very known process for me.

Talk to a shop around your area, get some price quotes and get it fixed.
I ended up doing a full head rebuild with all new parts, since it was going to be apart anyway, i took that opportunity.

Its up to you what you want to do, but you surely need new valves and seals. The rings you will have to check to see if theyre ok.

Another thing, do you plan on removing the components from the head yourself? If so, labor rates wont be that bad, but if you have them disassemble and assemble the head back together, you are looking at about $350-$500 for that alone, not including the valves and seals.

Seals can be had for about $20 brand new for OEM ones.
Valves, OEM for about ~$100 or upgrade to some Ferreas for $240

By just fixing the problem, and putting in new OEM valves and seals you are looking at about $550 to $650 depending where you go.

 

Get a leakdown done to see whether you'll need to do a full rebuild and change your piston rings. If your block is fine then just pull the head and replace your valve seals and get a valve job done. Had the same problem and just decided to buy a new head.
