Default Using Fuel Cut vs Ignition Cut

I know most engine management software let you pick 1 or both, which is safer?

I noticed with the ignition cut that the Tach goes crazy while the Fuel cut seemed to be slower before it resumes. I have both boxes ticked right now, I'm just curious which is the safest both for 2step WOT launch and for the top end rev limiter.

I looked around and I'm sure this has been answered, but I can't seem to find it.

Thanks

well you should leave both boxes ticked, there isn't any reason to de check one and not the other or vise versa.

The tach will go crazy im not sure what you want to happen when you hit fuel cut, Someone briefly explained the algorithm is for ignition cut.. its something like it will drop a plug and if you keep pushing it it will drop a 2nd and a 3rd and a 4th depending.

Leave them both clicked

Well when I said the tach goes crazy it's like it loses signal and drops way down to 0 and shoots back up again which I guess is probably due to the algorithm it uses cutting power to the ignition.

Anyway anyone else have any opinions?

ignition cut sounds cool. lulz.

either or works. leave both if you want. mess around with it and see what the combinations do. but dont uncheck both. as you wont have a rev limit on most programs.

I agree the safest route is to use both.
