whats up honda-tech... i am new to this i came from b20 but i dont trust the site when it comes to my car anymore... just curious about something

i have a stock ls over 200k on the motor... runs great i use 10w30 full synthetic oil
b16 transmission

i want to go turbo i just dont know how to approach it.
i am not trying to spend so much cash yet i want to be reliable.
my boy tells me i can get an ebay turbo and tune it and i will have no problem pushing 9 PSI
im still skeptical

can anyone help me out and share there experience with a stock ls with a ebay turbo or any turbo pleeeasse.. thanks in advance

no, no, no.

Cheap, fast, reliable.
pick any two and you will not have the third.
have you done a compression and leakdown test? this will determine the condition your engine is in, and you can take it from there on the route to follow.
Choose a realistic HP goal. if it's something you truly want to achieve, you will have to spend money on quality parts, if you wanna keep your engine in proper running order. you are questioning on purchasing a component for your car that can do irreversible severe damage if not done with respect.

that kind of HP is not going to be a cheap accomplishment. you will definitely need to build your bottom end, and some good head work will be order as well

Yeah do some researching and LOTS of it. Look in the FAQS and browse the forced induction forum. People get tired of answering the same questions over and over.
