Default Mini - Me. no joke How hard to do right.

I can get a d16z6 head loaded with parts for really really cheap. how hard is this to put on my d16a6 block. my engine bay is wired as the Si setup.

the head has head gasket and head bolts too !

How much work will this be? I would use an RPM activated switch for VTEC. and run a turbo later. to compensate the lost fuel in VTEc i will use a V-AFC. I can get a V-AFC in the winter.

How bad will it run without the V-AFC????

thx guyys.

and is it noticeable fgaster?

i have had a d16a6 with a 92 vtec head on it.. it is really easy to do.. u have to pull the oil jet out of the block.. there is one in the vtec and not in the non vtec head. then u have to run a 92-95 timing belt. i forgot what u have to do for the timing.. and the distrubtor will not just bolt up.. u will have to mod.. easy . there many be a lil more.. i also ran that motor on 6 psi but i think it was the compression that blew it.. mini-me is like 10.4 to 1 .. let me know

its not hard at all.. bolts up , u only need to change the oil jet like the other bro said
well if u use the 5G FPR u will be running rich and that will compensate for fuel problems on VTEC.... it will not run bad without the VAFC, but ti will not run 100% perfect.....and yes its more noticeable faster. specially it feesl more torquey.....

Just make sure you spend a little time tuning it to get the right A/F ratio and make sure you tighten the head down properly... and it should all be fine

the oil jet thing please explain. i dont have one with the new head.

today i removed everything attached to the head but the head wont come off the block??? i unbolted the headbolt and yanked for all i got.

so i need to buy a 92 civic 1.6 l timing belt and a oil jet for the block for a 92 civic.

will the cam gear off my d16a6 work???

oh yeah can i reuse the head gasket for the SOHC VTEC head cause it isnt seperated and in great condition i think it was recently replaced on the d16z6 motor

THX guys
