Hey all,
About 4 months ago we dropped a new engine in the accord. Everything with the car running is fine but, I can't arm the car with the remote now because I run the risk of the car not starting at all (like the kill switch is activated). It doesn't do it all the time. Take for instance...I was outside about 20 minutes ago and armed and disarmed and started a couple of times with no problems at all, but it will do it randomly when it wants. Don't want to let my wife use it and not have the damn thing work when she is out of town or something. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks,

how long ago was this alarm installed? and who installed it?
you might wanna check the wiring...maybe something is loose since you are having an intermittent problem and it seems like you pinpointed it to the alarm..

 

Take it to an alarm place and let them have a look. That's probably your best bet.

 

The alarm has been installed for about 6 years now so I don't think that would be an issue but I will be making an app to get it looked at cause this is not my field of expertise. Sad thing is, this alarm has been awesome until this point.
