Default carburetor question

hey i just bought an 86 crx, and i need a carb for it. i dont have extra cash right now for a new one thats like 500 bucks, and none of the salvage yards in my area have any, so i was wondering what, if any, other models can i take the carb from that will work on mine. like one yard has 3 carbed 88 civic hatch's..could i use those carbs? any help would be awesome...thanks!

Honda changed nearly every thing in their cars in the 1988 model year, so not much interchanges from the newer cars with the older cars.

You might be able to get a rebuild kit for the dried up gaskets in your old carb.

when i bought the car, it did not have a carb. the guy before me said he had a "performance carb" on it but couldnt tell me the brand or anything, and wouldnt sell it to me so idk what was up with it. anyway, i found a dude with a parts car thats selling me the carb off of it. so im pretty psyched.
