Black Interior CD Accord?
So a friend of mine just installed a black interior for his DC5. I think it gives it a nice touch and I already have engine and body work on my car, and I'm getting sick of my ugly tan/khaki interior. (Probably the last amount of money I'd invest on my car for awhile)
My friend got his from a black DC5 (his is white) and so I thought i'd be easy to just find a black CD Accord and take the interior, but turns out, I ran into an EX and apparently it comes in a tan interior as well. (I've seen pictures of a black accord w/ black interior) So my question:
Where can a black interior be found? What model?

my 94 accord ex has a dark gray interior with a lighter gray in the bottom...so if u want a stock interior those r the colors. otherwise if u want black, like h22 kid said, spray paint will do
i second the spray paint idea. just make sure the surface is prepped well (get ALL armorall and whatever else off!!!) and it should adhere pretty well. i have been thinking about doing this to mine as well!
I've never seen a factory black interior CD5 Accord; unless, its swapped out with black ones. The factory interior you'll find will be the "Type B" interior which is gray.

I have seen a few where people had mixed it up.. Dark grey and tan looks good and its sorta "custom". Still OE but custom..
All your options are right here in this thread for the most part..
BTW.. CL interior. still not black but grey and will be different from 99% of accords.

HONESTLY, dont paint anything. Its tacky, cheap, wears off, and eventually makes your car look beat up. I would just find upholstery shop that does it. It will cost about the same for the price of a new interior anyhow.
^^
If you do it right and use good materials, it wont look cheap and will last as long as the car. I did my 95 in black with SEM paint about 3 years ago and still looks as good as it did when it was new.

But anywho,
Can anyone point me to a direction to dying my carpets (Something I can do at home but looks professional)? This black interior thing is really getting to my head and I'm very interested in doing it.
I'm not trying to get linked to google DIY sites, but help from people that have actually done it first hand. Much appreciated.
i think the 1st gen acura cl (97-99) had black interior. NOT SURE THO. but if they did, the interior swaps over completely for our CD accord coupes. This would probably be the easiest and maybe cheapest solution....
i have my secrets... i wont reveal no more secrets... or else it wont be one of a kind no more
but you can have black interior with out dye or spray paint
and all OEM
