2000 Honda SI: Which OEM springs are for the front?
So I'm putting this 2000 SI back to stock suspension, for winter, and because currently it rides like crap on sleeves.
The shocks are OEM replacement Drop Zone shocks. I was provided the OE springs with the car. I have two shocks that are a bit longer, that seem to be a lower spring rate, and have 3 or 4 coils at the top that are progressive and seem to rest on each other compressed. I put these in the rear.
I have two a tad shorter springs that seem to be a higher spring rate in the front. I'll have to post some pictures but the car looks like a 4X4. Higher than any shots I see of a stock honda civic SI ride height.
I did a search and found no documention with any pictures. Can anyone help me out, that knows what I'm talking about?

Posted that in the first post. Dropzones. Again I bought the car on dropzone sleeve coils and struts. With a box that was told they were the original springs. I believe the previous owner.
From what I looked up on ebay dropzone are pretty much OE housings.
Here is a shot that I took to give a indicator. I know stock seems jacked up but this seems excessive.

I would take a look to see that they are in correctly. Like when it snows I just raise my car since its on ground control coils with kyb agx struts so it makes thing easy for me. My buddy just cut his oem springs and it rides very smooth, but its low. He only cut 3 coils and it dropped nicely, so you could always just cut these to even it out. But first of all I would just go and recheck everything

It is definitely way higher than stock.
Yea, I was going to say maybe the OP mixed up the front pair with the rear pair, but even the front is a little too high for stock. That EM1 is jackkkkkked up!
LOL I'm NEVER going to cut springs. I agree that even the front seems too high. I don't have tons of time currently. And agree that dropzone is a waste of time but I'm working with what I have here.
People please read my original thread before posting. I'M TRYING TO CONFIRM THAT I DO HAVE THEM MIXED UP. I'd really like for someone to jack there car up and snap some shots of the front and rear springs. I can't find any online labelled front and back to work against. The helms doesn't really have the detail either.
I very well understand I may have them switched around, I'm just looking for confirmation. Putting the coil sleeves back on is not a option. Dumping the dropzone shocks while they are ebay junk are not going. I have confirmed perch height is the same as OEM so it's not the issue. Springs are set correctly in the perchs.

Ok here we go I found a link to a picture of the springs. The ones on the right are the ones I put on the rear. Anyone using stock springs or have them around that know which ones go were can you confirm which are fronts? Right set or left set.

I would say you went backwards. To me, it looks like the ones on the right are a tighter wound, which would be a stiffer spring, which i would put up front. Also, here is an ebay pick, which again to me looks that way. I know there not si's, but look the same as the pic you posted.

Ok, yeah.... U must have the front springs in the back and vise versa. I mean u can c it sits higher in the back too. What size rims do u have on that thing?? Looks like 14's
the sprngs in front will be bigger then rear, thicker,
i have oes leing around and you can deffinely tell which one is rear and whats front.
the ones on the right look like fronts to me, to thick to be rears,
ill try to snap a pic, but it might not be till later tonight.

Thanks coneheads. I did the same thing today and agree that the ones on there right should be in the front but they are not. I guess I'll know for sure when I switch them out this weekend. Ugh very annoying. I'll post a shot after it's done. Keep your fingers crossed.
Swapped out the springs front and back. Verdict NOW THEY ARE ON WRONG! I'm stumped at this point on what the issue was with the springs correct above.
Next step is to take the rear set off and review them against a set of oem shocks. As well as a second set of springs. I'm not sure what the deal is. Pretty frustrated right now. If anyone with OEM 2000 SI springs can confirm the color marks on there springs front and rear I would be very thankful.
This set has a White and Red mark on one set and Green and yellow on the other set. I need your help SI owners!

Another thought, could it be from the sway bar setup while the suspension wasn't under load? I'm in the middle of putting the suspension back the way it is. For a test I put a set of EG Hatch stock rear suspension in. Still jacked up high, pulled the sway bar links out of the arms and it did make a noticable result in lowering......................
Correct me if im wrong but they could be stock accord springs right? I saw a crx here on ht, a guy put accord spings on to rally with and looked about that high.
