Unexplainable idle problem?
I drive a 1996 Civic LX with an automatic transmission. 1.6L.
The problem is when in drive or reverse it idles at a constant 2200 RPM
I neutral or park the RPMS go from 200 - 2200 repeatedly.
There is no check engine light on though.
A bit of background, the car always idled very low, and at times felt like it would stall, but never did.
Then I put it into a ditch and had to replace the radiator as a result. Ever since it has been running this way.
Anyone have any ideas?

Check that the coolant is properly blead and that all grounds r clean and tight.
Has symptoms of a TPS out of alignment as well but I don't think that would be it unless u or the person b4 u has messed with or replaced the TB.
RonJ@HT, check the ground on the thermostat housing especially
I agree.
This procedure may take 20-30 minutes:
1) Park the car on an inclined driveway with the front end higher than the rear.
2) Push the dash heater lever/**** to MAX heat.
3) Follow the directions in the diagram below
