Whenever it rains, my trunk area where the spare tire sits seems to have a puddle. Also, my rear seats get wet (bottom cushion). i just want to know ALL the possibilities as to why this is happening.
much help appreciated.

Mine did the same thing so I just replaced the rubber on the hatch and prob went away.
I just got my teg and have never really driven it, but when I was cleaning it out I noticed that the previous owner put towels in the trunk area to absorb water. Maybe this is a common problem with tegs?

your probably gonna have to take out the rear side panels and if you look behind the panels you will see the hoses.heres pics.

I'm dealing with the same situation,I had replaced the sunroof drain hoses, the weather strip as well,I had removed all the hatch area panels and rear seats, since it has been raining like for two weeks in a row,I've notice the tail lights was the problem,I guess the taillights gaskets were bad,so I just picked them up from the dealership.
My seats were wet, even the front carpet was getting wet as well ,what I'm guessing is that all the water was getting trough the taillights, and was acumulating untill the point the spare tire area couldn't hold it and started running to the front.

ran into this problem as well and it was the hatch weather stripping, thats my guess i also checked the sunroof drain hoses and that wasnt it, also had to replace the windshield weather stripping because it was leaking , guess after a couple years exposure to the elements they dry rot
you'll probably have to remove the headliner and panels, get in the car, and have a friend on the outside with the hose spray water on the outside of the car till you single out the area(s) where you have leaks
Water is coming out of the spare tire area when you brake. But try a few different things cause I've had leaks all over honda's before. Around the rubber in the doors leak sometimes also.
