Just thought I would make it known that I am looking into renting out the Talladega road course sometime in the near future. It will be on a Mon-Thus but the date will not be set until I have a firm number of people that will attend. The deal is that if I can get at least 15 drivers it will only cost $65 a person for roughly 8hrs of unlimited track time. The event will be professional and well organized or it will not be done. I'm really looking for a few seasoned road course drivers that can act as instructors and offer safety guidance. Please note that you won't be stuck on the sidelines or riding shotgun all day. Besides that anybody that's not a complete idiot is welcome, but please note that I might have to limit numbers at my discression if it becomes to big.
Talk to Trey (asahi). He has put together 2 events there that went VERY smoothly and everything was very professional. Lots of seat time, great instructors, and plenty of 360's! woo hoo!
Let me know when the dates are...maybe I'll have my new ride by then.

Damn, I'd love to go, I went to school somewhat nearby at Auburn University and I went to a couple events there at Talladega. I'm now in Orlando FL, but I might just have to make a trip up there for that price, keep us informed, enjoy
.....cross posting (maybe we can get a good group of people together this way):

I don't know about this Trey guy..
BTW, I've set up an event there before, but we were limited to 10 people. It made for a small group of people who got an amazing amount of seat time.

look for the price to be a little more so you can have insurance and EMT. Not too much more but a little. Also don't forget you need about 7 workers and radios.
Great track to hit. 1.35 miles, good run off, no elevation changes.
We have done this track the last 3 years every spring. Fun and cheap. Look for our 4th annual Event in the spring in addition to this day.
I am happy to help.

I've been to the Grand Prix track twice so I know if you can get a date up then I'll go for sure if I can get off and I think a friend of mine will go as well.
