need advice on 17" wheels
Hi all
I decided to do a +2 on my '98 Accord LX V6 4Dr. For tires
I'll go with Dunlop SP Sport A2 or Sumitomo HTR+ 215/50/17. Anyone experienced any rubbing issues with this size? I need your help
with wheels - brand and individual model recommendations are welcome.
All I know is that I want 17" x 7", lightweight and under $180. I
would love to see pictures of a 6th gen sedan with 17" wheels.
What offset should I be looking for (for 16" or 17" wheels)?
Thanks in advance!
Andrey

you want either 215/45 or 215/40 tires.
volk racing rims get my vote. http://www.rayswheels.co.jp/index.html
advans are also sick.

Anyone know how much the OEM steel wheels weigh?
well this isn't a 6th gen, but they are 17's anyways...here it is lowered (by photoshop of course because i'm waiting on good ol' shan to sell me his GC's) and the next pic is how it is with the stock ride height...
and here's the stock ride height, not a great pic but you get the idea...the tires are 215/45/17, they are thick enough to protect the wheel, but low profile enough to be lowered without much rubbing....

yeah sorry bout that, i didnt read that you have a 6gen.
for me.
if your math is correct, then thats prolly what you should run, but id get the opinion of another 6gen owner first.
tire rack has great customer service, im sure they could help you alot with a choice on wheels and the tire size too.

tirerack can lick my *****. they sold me my wheels and sent me the wrong lug nuts. they wouldn't stay tight and rounded out the lug holes. no exterior cosmetic or structural damage but it was hassle i wasn't looking for.
They did mail me a shitload of lug nuts to make up for it... any one need any?

The same thing happened to me when I ordered from DTD... I got a bag with 26 Gorilla socket nuts with my rims. Too bad they are pure crap and i ended up buying the closed end gorilla nuts.
I just wanna know which Honda model has 26 lugnuts..... I mean 16 or 20 I could understand but 26?
