so my friend drove his car today and heard a snap as he was making a turn.after jackin the car up we find out that this thing on his passenger side snapped in two near the axle, but we can't figure out what it is so i come to you guys for help
this comes from a 1990 Integra LS, Manny if that helps.how much would this run me for at a junkyard?

 

strut rod aka radius rod

 

Its a support bar that goes from below the radiator to the lower control arm if im not mistaken.

 

so from your guys' say, its the same thing right? a strut rod/radius rod?

 

yes different manufactures call it different names honda calls it a radius rod. just like what dale said it connects the lca to the front subframe.

WTFBBQ? How in the **** did your friend manage to snap a radius rod? How fast was he turning and was he smoking crack?

I actuallly had my full race traction bar snap at just about the same point.... I know, I know what the F**k were you doin. Honestly making a left hand turn at about 15mph then SNAP... blew my mind i dont know if maybe a bad LCA bushing or something had something to with it or not but i cant see these parts just snapping like that.
