Default Speed Sensor

Hey does anybody have a write up or a diagram on the speed sensor? I've tried to search for it but haven't found how to put it in. Also what do you guys think about buying an ebay sensor?

Write up or diagram in regards to what? Replacing it?

It's on top of the transmission held in by 2 bolts if I recall and is below the TB/Dizzy area remove the intake arm to access it

yeah in regards to replacing it. I'm not use to honda's at all so i'm totally new when it comes to them. And it's a 95 v6. So it's probably not quiet the same as you were explaining it.

You need to list details like that in your first post - you'll probably want to verify the 4cyl and 6cyl use the same VSS before buying it. That eBay auction does not seem to specify.

Yes, they can all be related to the VSS.

also my speedo sits a 20 instead of 0. Would that mean it is the speedo itself or the sensor?

If it sits at 20 instead of 0, I would say the speedo head.

This makes no sense.

"when working when no working"

Have you read the thread?

If you have:

- no cruise
- a CEL
- the speedometer/odometer aren't working

Then it's most likely the VSS.

If you have:

- cruise
- no CEL
- speedometer/odometer aren't working

Then it's most likely the cluster itself.

I don't think it can be made any clearer than that.

Alright well my cruise doesn't work, but i have no check engine light, so thats why i'm trying to get some other input.People like you are so annoying. Just because you don't have a life and are always on this forum doesn't mean everybody else is.

Annoying? I disagree, nothing is annoying from me posting.

Your CEL may have a bulb burnt out, or you may have an intermittent VSS.

I've seen before where a user bought a car where the seller REMOVED the bulb for the CEL to mask the problem.

As to my life I:
- full time student (15 credit hours)
- work 20+ hours a week
- work on both my S2000 and Accord
- had a H22A swapped Accord with pretty much every mod available save for building the motor

I know what I'm talking about, that post was in response to player77, not yours.

Computer Engineer actually - I **** with my Accord as a hobby

I was one of the guys that figured out the fix for a faulty cluster. After spending like $200 for a new OEM VSS and cluster parts
