Installing momo wheel help!
I got a 94 LS teg, I've been looking at NRG/MOMO hubs and want to know. If I use one of these hubs which one will work with the stock cable reel? Reason I ask is because my turn signals MUST turn off on their own to pass inspection. So which unit will work with the stock clock spring or am I SOL?
your turn signals will still work and turn off by themselves without the cable reel. the only stuff that won't work are your horn and cruise control.
I have installed an NRG unit and managed to wire up my horn and cruise. I just made some simple mods for the horn, its included in the instructions.
For the cruise.
I removed the button unit from the OEM steering wheel and repinned all the wires so that they go into the stock clip and all works well. I drive fwy's all the time, and I enjoy cruise. The only thing that you will have that isn't aethetically appealing is that the cruise button assy. hangs about. A small drawback for looks, but not ugly if your not really too concerned.
