Default Tire Width for 15" rims

So I'm getting ready at some point to sell my 17's for some 15" rota track r's (+40 offset is what was recommended). It's gonna be used mainly as my daily driver, so I'm just wondering what tire width and height I should go with? 195/50r15 seems to be pretty standard but what would you recommend?

Where does it say how wide the rim is? Every site I've looked at with the track r's hasn't listed that info

I run 205/50/15s on my blades with no complaints. Rub slightly only at full lock my sol which has Goldline springs.

depends on the width of the rim as well. im assuming your rotas are like all rotas and 7" wide. i would put some 205/50's and enjoy the extra meat with a little lower profile

Yeah, they're 7 in. wide. Does that mean that 195's would still fit, but 205's would fit better?

195 will fit fine, 205's will give you a bit more curb protection though

I have Civic Si 15's and I run 225/50/15 on the front and 205/50/15 on the back dropped 2.5" and I rub the inner fender well at full lock or going up a steep driveway straight on.

So stick with 205 as the max width if you plan on slamming your ride? Also, are there any brands that you would recommend or does it not really matter. I think the max I would be willing to spend per tire would probably be around $90

225 is SUUUPER wide... especially if your car is lowered alot.... plus i think it looks funny, like dot slicks on the front.

It hasn't changed the out side look of the car or wheel and I don't have much of a problem until i'm turned to full lock, I'll try and get a pic up. Stoxafella, y do u have a wider tire in the rear? (just curious)

Tire suggestions will vary based on the use of the car. For DD, limited auto-x, and the occasional Tail of the Dragon run; I like the Yoko S-Drives. 205-50-15 I think I payed $84 a tire. Looking at trying Falken Azenis RT-615s next time, I checked and the Sears here has them for $93 a tire. Also, these are both summer rated tires so if you get snow/ice, these won't be good for you.

I personally run 195/50/R15 all around. If you want to stay in spec to stock, 195/55R15 or 205/50/R15 is what is recommened so your speedometer isn't off that much.

I have 205/50/15 and the tires still kinda rubs on the inside but only when I turn the steering to its fullest. But I would recommend either 195/50/15 or 205/50/15 Advan Neova :D

I usually bounce between 195/50/15 or 205/50/15. Either will work fine with a wheel of that width. 45's for the sidewall look a little "skeletal" for my taste.
