Default del sol motor swap. good idea?

I abused my privilege of this forum on my last thread so I apologize and wont let it happen again. But I would like some opinions. I found a gsr swap for 2200 and I was thinking about just buying that motor. Here's why: I just have an ls block.... JUST the block... I need just about EVERYTHING for a full ls vtec swap anyway. Plus I dont have all the money right now for arp head studs, forged internals, chipped ecu.... etc.... So thats a pretty penny anyway. So my theory is I could install the gsr and save up for the stuff i need. Then when I have everything I already have all the gsr parts I need OR if I just like the gsr as is i could just keep it. Does this all sound like a good plan. I'd just like some personal preferences...

the other option is buying a gsr type R for 3500 and callin it a day.... :D

thanks and yes i'd like some C&C but no flames.

Well Type R engines aren't ideally what u would want to boost but ppl like to do it. As far as boost is concered u need to set a HP goal then build towards that and if u have pretty high HP goals then u would probably end up needing to lower the compression to get there. High C/R means it takes less boost to get to a certain HP but there is a limit. Low C/R means u need more boost to get to a certain HP but it will handle it better and the limit is higher. Just some food for thought. To better give my opinion I would like to know ur plans for the car.

honda motors are made strong or any motor can be good handling boost but you have to do it right you cant cheap out or just slapping turbo without doing internal works. too much money, work and time involved. just stay na and concentrate on your suspension.

well, he can always take some of the weights off, then those mustangs will hate him more haha. even smoke them by 3-4 length. modifying honda are endless, you can do everything you want to make it a beast.

What weight off? The car is an over grown pig of a two seater that handles like a sedan.

Maybe 50lbs tops

i need more than just internals and a head. I need a wiring harness, intake, exhaust, starter, alternator, all new belts, oil line kit, clutch, flywheel, transmission, EVERYTHING. instead of piecing everything together I can just get the gsr with EVERYTHING one it and have it all ready when I have the bottom end built on the LS.
