Default DEI remote start system will not work. Help please

So I just installed a DEI (Hornet) Alarm/Remote start combo on a 97 Civic automatic. The alarm and keyless entry seems to be working fine, but the remote start does not work. "Inhibit" flashes on the lcd screen.

I let the system learn the tach and all the wires seem to be hooked up correctly. I don't know what to do!! Any suggestions? Thanks

Will it flash the parking lights and crank, or just not respond and flash inhibit?

Make sure your - and + shutdown inputs are connected properly (brown brake + , gray hood pin -) as well as ensuring you have ground on the black/white "neutral safety" wire, if this wire doesnt see ground, not start.

It just doesn't respond and flashes "inhibit". the parking lights don't even flash.
I think all those wires are connected correctly. I soldered all my connections. I guess I will get out the multimeter and actually check those wires again.
