So when i go to unlock my car with the clicker, it doesn't unlock. It still locks with the clicker and when i hit the button to unlock the lights still come on. The power locks inside still unlock and lock just fine, and the key works just fine. I changed the battery on the clicker and it didn't affect the unlocking at all. Any ideas?

read your handbook...there is a programing section for your clicker.

 

It is common for the door lock actuators to go out. My driver's is out right now actually. They cost about $40.

It's weird that it locks though; try reprogramming first.

 

Thanks dude. but was that really necessary? I don't think it is a stupid question at all, all you needed to say was either nothing or tell me I need to reprogram my remote. After all, this is a forum and without questions it would just be a chatroom

if the programming didnt work check ur fuse box under the hood
it has nothing to do with the battery
and if its not the fuse maybe its the motor that locks/unlock ur car its located inside the door panel

 

I think it might be the actuator. now the power lock switch inside the car doesn't work all the time, locking or unlocking. I can lock/unlock it by manually pulling it if it doesn't feel like working at that particular moment tho

 

Yeah, I thought it was the actuator - it works randomly before it goes completely out. It's an easy fix.

 

thats good news. happen to have a P/N? on the website it doesn't specify right or left side and there are 2 separate P/N's and 2 different prices? does it matter which?
