tires sizing on a 6.5 inch wide rim
ok im in the market for some new tires. i want some wide sticky tire compare to stock which is 195 60 15. i used a tire calculator and can anyone verified that 225 50 15 is possible. this thing is telling me it is. and ppl on here a while ago said it couldnt be done. here are my results.
my rim is 6.5 inches wide http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCal...?action=submit

note i like the thicker tire look compare to all rim. how bout 205 60 15? i want 215 or 225 which is what i really want but i dont want the side wall to be skinny
you won't be able to fit a 225 on a 6.5... you need 7.5 at least!
if you want a good size I would go with 205-55-15 or 205-50-15. I would recommend the 205-55-15 over the other one as they are a little closer to the stock diameter and won't make to much of a difference in your speedo accuracy...

One guy from 8th civic put 225/50/16 on a stock 16x6.5 inch wheel fit with no problems it looked kinda funny tho but still fit. The 06+ civic's non si's have the same size wheel as 02-04 rsx's and 04-05 ep's

Yeah that should work the OP of that 8th civic thread said the first few miles of the tire break in the wheels would flex a little more but after the tire break in period they work like normal. LOL also you have super curb protection with tires like that
