Next weekend Honda TwinCam will be holding their all Honda road race at Sodegaura Forest Raceway, a brand new race course in Chiba, Japan. So I've been prepping my car a bit before the race. I've added a CAI for my turbo, using a Billion aluminum funnel mounted to the front bumper, and a high temperature rubber duct hose made by Kinokuni. It took about two hours to get everything in since the hose is so stiff, but I'm pretty happy with the results. Hopefully, my car is in the Honda TwinCam magazine after the event.
I will update this thread after the event, so stay tuned.

Just got back from my run at Sodegara Forest Raceway in Chiba prefecture. Since this is a brand new course, it was everyone's first time, and the rain made it even more challenging. And today, I learned that I am awesome in the wet! No spins or course outs, and whole lot of overtaking.
In this heat, it was a battle between me and a Civic Type R (in front) we were both taking it easy on the corners because a a lot of cars were spinning out or going into the gravel. There were even a couple of accidents that caused a red flag. For me, the day was awesome.
Here are some pics and the video. Enjoy!

I wanted a Beat for awhile, until I saw its performance at the track. They're fun cars, but not good track cars. Its only a 660cc 3 cylinder engine.

I wasn't going to post this because the visibility is so poor out of the front windshield. But here is the video of the first heat. In hindsight, I think I drove more aggressively during the first heat than the second. Maybe it was the sight of all of the cars spinning out that scared me into driving more slowly.
