Default H22 Engine, H23 Trans, not moving??

I have a JDM H22a mated to a USDM H23 transmission. I'm using the stock H22a clutch, and H23 axels (no difference, right?)

I got the driver side half shaft in fine, however the passenger side axel will not go in anymore, it's got almost a half inch more to push in before it "clicks"

The car will not move, It goes into gear, but there isn't any load being applied. I put it in first and let the clutch all the way out and the car just sits there like its in neutral...

any help? is it because I'm using an H23 axel? Is it because the axel won't go in all the way?

You might want to try to get the axle in all way. Mine does the same thing except I had someone hold it straight and with the axle bolted to the front knuckle/hub and start hammering away and BAM! it clicks in. Thats how I got mine to go in on the passenger side.

GL man.

is it normal for the car to not even put any load to the axels if they are not both installed?

Perfectly normal, unless you have an LSD or a spool.

Do you have the axles in correctly? The driver side is different from the passanger side. I once did this and my car wouldn't move at all or even put load on them. You have to put the side with full length splines in the transmission side, and the one with half blank, half splined in the half shaft side. Other wise it won't move at all.
