So me and my friend are going to be replacing his transmission on his 95 si lude
what all should we buy besides clutch, throw out bearing, new MTF,
any special tools we will need?( besides clutch alignment tool) what size is the axle nut? 30mm or 32mm are all honda axle nuts the same
any processes that help like to take it out of the top bottom or take the engine out... any help on replacing a tranny in this car would be good

Spindle nut=36mm

Replace clutch, inspect flywheel/resurface, rear main seal, replace tob, replace axle seals, mtf. Tranny removal and install in a 4th gen is kinda a pita if this will be your 1st one. H23/F22/H23 all use the same transmission case

 

i'll say it again, tell your friend to buy a helms and be done with it.

that could pretty much answer all of your questions and then some.

 

ive done trannys before on older subarus those are a pain in the a$$
