Default my 00 EK with b18b(obd2a) help

alright everyone i have a couple questions that i would like to have help answering before i start my swap..to be honest i think i am overthinking everything but maybe not... as for now im just running my super stock d16y7 for a daily...i just purchased my obd2 b18b...so here are my questions...

-can i use my current non-vtec ecu with this swap? being that the swap is obd2a and my car is obd2b?

-can i use my current d-series shift linkage with the b series transmission? something tells me i cannot...but i seem to qestion myself...

-am i safe to assume my current harness obd2b will support the obd2a motor?

thank you for the response

any help is appreciated

-chris

You can convert the dizzy plug and get an ECU jumper, OR you can find an OBD2a civic harness.

That would probably be the cheaper route. However, you will still need to convert and extend a couple plugs.

yes, non vtec ecu for none vtec engine. etc.
No you will need b series likage from 99-00 civic si.
you can always find a 96-98 harness, which is obd2a.
