Default Front sway bar doesn't fit?

I have a '92 Civic DX and have replaced the front lower arms with EX ones that have the mounting hole for the front sway bar. I purchased a sway bar from a '98 Civic EX which looks to be the exact same from the pictures and people have used them before and said it worked fine. It seems to line up fine and I can put the end links in, but the D brackets do not line up. There is at least an inch gap from the bracket to where it's supposed to mount to the frame. I am sure that I'm not installing the bar upside down, and I have the shift linkage and exhaust dropped. Did I screw up and get the wrong sway bar? People have said that it fit fine before, I'm not sure why this isn't working. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Bump, I could really use some help with this.

The bar just doesn't go up close enough to the frame for the D brackets to bolt in.

Here is a pic of the sway bar, it was pulled from a '98 EX. Where the D bushings are, should there be more of a bend to place them up further toward the chassis?

****, I have read that people have used an EK sway bar on an EG, maybe they were mistaken on what bar they used.

eg's and dc's are the same chassis therefore you can get a GSR sway bar and bolt it up to yours

Will any 94-01 Integra sway bar work? I know some of them have different end links which is fine, I just want to know if they are compatible with the 92-95 chassis.

Some say that 94-01 teg front sway bars also fit on 96-00 civics, that doesn't make sense if my 98 Civic EX bar won't fit on my 92? Sorry if I'm missing something, i just don't want to get the wrong bar again and can't find an actual eg bar for the life of me but Integra ones are readily available.

the DC/EG front bar has more of a bend to the bar. I have a 24mm GSR front bar. lmk if you are interested.
