Here's an interesting one for your consideration. My 2000 Civic LX (d16y7- non-vtec) misses very badly after I put in gas. I have to gun the engine carefully for a short time to make sure it wont stall out. It finally runs smoothly until the next fill up. There is vacuum when I remove the gas cap.
This all started out very inconsistently about 1 year ago, but it does it virtually every time I fill up now.This car did have the dreaded DTC p1457 error and I replaced the EVAP Bypass Solenoid Valve (located by the gas tank) with P/N 17012-S01-A002 per Honda's service bulletin 03-001. The error is back and I have the above stalling issue. Any ideas, anyone? Thanks in advance for the help!

I had a similar issue but on my 99 it was the ignition unit -- Honda changed it out -- it would be at a stop light and then just die....if I didnt give it gas it would just die out. Apparently something in the key/ignition was messed up on a number of units and they didnt a TSB for it.

The only time after that I encountered the issue was on my EG -- IACV went bad -- friend helped me put a new (used) one in. No stalling.
