I just bought a 1999 honda civic lx. When I got it I noticed on the way home that the cruise control doesnt work. Later that night I noticed the gauge cluster didnt light up. I decided to take it apart and make sure none of the bulbs were blown. None of them were so I decided to order a new cluster which I did. After putting it back together with old cluster since the new one hadnt arrived yet, my speedometer, odometer, tach, and water temp stopped working too. All of which were working previously. Basically all the works is the fuel gauge. I have since replaced the cluster with a new one. The new one lights up but the guages still dont work. I checked the connections and the fuses and they all seem fine. I dont know if the cruise control is related but I just figured I'd mention it. Also the SRS plug (the yellow one) was unplugged so I plugged it back in and the SRS light stays on. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

nothing happens at all when i try the cruise control. and they must have removed the horn before selling it to me prolly cause it was in an accident cause there was no horn. I added one and it works fine

 

I had an old chevelle horn laying around my garage and just connected the wire to it and worked nicely. Sounds a little weird in a honda though lol

 

is there an airbag in it?
that could be why your srs light is on.

 

nm it had an aftermarket alarm system that was rigged and i fixed it. although the srs light is still on, and yes it has airbags, i assume that really isnt a big deal
