Hey guys,

Ive got a B18C in a 94 Civic EX coupe. Ive had it in for probably 5 years now, but recently have had an issue. It started while I was driving. The car would miss/stutter while cruising down the highway. Eventually this got worse and it would shut off. I would put in the clutch, crank the key and it would restart. Eventually this didnt work anymore and on my way to work had to pop the clutch to get her to fire off again. Well I replaced the distributor with a used one from a friend and that fixed the problem for about 4 months and it did it again. So this time I bought a new distributor. Of course since I have a JDM engine the distributor I bought had the USDM single plug on it. All the wires matched up, so I soldered the two plugs onto the new distributor. I put it on the car and I still dont have any spark. Any idea's?

 

dos it still spark and start with bump starting? is the motor cranking while you turn the key?

 

Bump starting dose nothing now. When I turn the key the fuel pump kicks on and the motor cranks fine, but no spark.

 

check your ignition coil and igniter

 

Doubt thats the problem. The entire distributor is BRAND NEW.
