battery problem
So my buddy owns a 05 tl and ever time he go's away for more than a week the battery dies. so he brought it to the dealer and they said it was his ecu drawing power when its off and it ends up killing the battery. so i this true does the ecu really draw power when the car is off?
Bull crap man ECU draws miniscule amt to keep the ram alive. I have a CL-S and I have left the car sitting for 3 weeks at a time and it starts up every time all the time.
some things to check
1. pull the power to the HFL (bluetooth module) If the problem goes away, replace the HFL Module (there is a bulliten about this)
2. any aftermarket stuff that is not wired to switched power? If so, move it to switched power. (IE something that only gets powered on AFTER you turn the car on)
3. Age of battery? If it is original, get rid of it and replace it with a good quality battery (Acura makes craptastic batteries)
