stupid question but i just purchase jdm b16a and they told me the motor its a 99 so just wondering sir made in that yr..and it got the stamp on the head made in 9/9 so i dont know

Was the SiR made in 99? Not really, I mean if it's a JDM B16A than thats what it is (a JDM B16A) the SiR was replaced with the Civic Type R in 96. U could probably still classify the 96-00 JDM B16A as an SiR engine I guess.

the ek4 SiR was given a full run, from 95 to 00 afaik there are even one or two in ireland on 04 plates but thats due to late registration so in answer to your question yes the EK4 SiR was sold in 99 in japan

Projectgtr, what model honda would b the EK4 SiR? I was looking and can't find anything 96+ civic to do with SiR.

the ek4 is the japanese SiR (B16a) started production in 1995 underwent a facelift same time as the Type r (99??)and then ceased cease production in 00
