Default Hard to shift when raining

not sure how to explain but, when its raining or when its wet
and water is being thrown under the car the shifter gets hard
to move.It doesn't go back to the middle.I have to force it over
and sometimes its very hard to move.As soon as it dries off
everything is fine.
Anything I can do to help this or is this a sign of something that
might be about to break

Maybe you need new bushings, or some grease they might be swelling with the water. I would try greasing it first.
