Default Transmission Release Bearing (Help)

Ok so i have a 93 civic with a JDM D15B Vtec, has a complete turbo setup with intercooler and BOV, has about 60k on engine...

So ive been told my release bearing needs to be replaced... Im just curious to how much this will cost if i buy the bearing, and get a shop to replace it, how much do you think a shop would charge? average price..

I coukd possibly have friends help me do it for cheaper so im just wondering..

Thanks..

Probably 700+ because of the labor.. but if i were you.. i would take a look at the clutch and if you need a new one.. especially with a turbo. While your in there take a look at the rear main seal too. But yeah.. if you have some friends, organized and have the tools i say tackle it yourself!

Yeah i could prolly get my friend to do it, pay him 200 bucks and get it over with, i have a brand new clutch installed so im sure i dont need a new one..

this has nothing to do with trannys, but you seem to know what your talking about..

It kinda sputters in low rpms its set at 10 psi at 185hp dyno tuned...

im thinking i just need to turn the boost down to about 7 or 8 and it will fix the problem, but if you know of any other ways feel free to explain...

Thanks alot

hmm.. could be a vacuum leak or the idle is too low.. if its not that then fuel problems or a bad tune? you could try lowering the boost and see what that does.. but im thinking vacuum leak

Yeah, Never thought of a vacuum leak, i dont even have a boost gauge at the moment to see if im losing boost, just baught the car little over a month ago...

Ill try turning the boost down, and if that doesnt work ill check for some leaks and if not that then ill replace the fuel filter, and get the lines looked at.

Thanks alot for the help and ill let you know if things dont work out with a leak or whatever it may be..
