Default Another GSR bites the dust...

Sad to report that my 2000 GSR was taken from me last night from my gated parking lot behind a neighboring house. After 3 years of owning the car, i was very careful about who saw me pulling in or out of that driveway. Finally, they got me. I guess i was spotted somehow, and they returned to get it. I just got the car on the road about 3 weeks ago. I had cracked an exhaust valve, and did a complete rebuild.

I have cried, I was sad, but now im just angry. Its been my 2nd integra, in 5 years. Both stolen. If you have any information or know of any parts that might be going around that match the description of the following, please contact me asap.

The parts on the car were very rare and one of a kind around NJ, as i have NOT SEEN anyone that has them besides me.

Here is a list of stuff to watch out for:

1. Recaro SRII Confetti Print Seats with Memory fab dc2/eg rails. DOUBLE LOCKING, RED handles. Seatbelt buckles were installed a specific way to designate they were done by me. It is the completely wrong way to install them, and i did it purposely. Passenger side recaro has some slight wear on the bottom bolster. Passenger side recaro logo on seat has a slight black mark on the R, that was purposely done to distinguish it.

2. Work Emotion CR Kai, White, 16x7, 4x100, with BLUE work stickers on them. Wrapped in 205/45/16 BF Goodrich G Force Sports all around. Black RAYS SHORT lugs all around with 4 locks and some wear.

3. Pioneer AVID D3, some little chips on drivers side, and some on bottom passenger side. Made purposely.

4. JDM ITR non SRS steering wheel, very minty horn button, not faded. There is a mark on the bottom of the steering wheel that was done purposely to distinguish it as mine. Red stitching is slightly faded, but not torn.

5. BRAND NEW, PREORDERED, highly doubt anyone has it around here, BEAKS tie bar. MATTLE BLACK with WHITE LOGO.

6. FULL OEM KIT. All painted taffeta white.
Front bumper: has a chip and crack on passenger side, near the middle. Bottom clip is broken, but not completely torn off. There was work done on it, so it is visible.
Side skirts: driver side has one clip missing on the flare side, toward the back. I believe its the second clip starting from the back. Passenger side has a hairline crack along the flare towards the rear wheel well. Watch out for broken holes underneath the skirts, as they were riveted onto the body, and most like they were pulled off and broken.
Rear lips: Rear lips were absolutely perfect, but ONLY could be installed with a certain "piece" that i custom made.

7. 98-01 Headlights- OEM TSX retrofit from Customlightz.com, CLEAR LENS , no lines running accross, passenger side lens have about 6-8 stress marks on it from the heat. Shrouds are painted Flat silver. Custom wiring harness that is on the car has to be used to install them.

8. 98-01 bumper- taffeta white, some rock chips on the bumper, THAT WERE "TOUCHED" UP WITH PAINT. Small scuff mark underneath the driver side headlight.

9.Seibon CF hood. Has a hairline crack on outer part, near the latch. The latch itself is a bit discolored and rusty. Has seibon red and white sticker on driver side near corner and headlight. Underside of the hood as about 7 or 8 stickers including a couple of Password JDM ones, Skunk2, Manley Rods, Phearable.net, Customlightz.com etc.

10. P28 ECU, with a Phearable.net chip, easily distinguished. Jumper harness is Phearable.net one, black clips, with gray wires.

11. T1R header- Yes, i marked that up as well. Some marks near the bottom and on collector 2.

12. T1R Test Pipe- Brand new, hardly any scratches on it.

13. Full T1R Power 63 Exhaust. Bottom of the muffler has a mark on it as well.

14. ITR wing, taffeta white, has some wear near driver side mounting spot. Visible when looking at it closely.

15. Motor has the following:

P72 head- Skunk2 Pro Series manifold, ITR bracket and throttle cable, Stock injectors, stock fuel rail.
WHITE valve cover, that is turning yellow. No you cant wipe it off, its a creamy white, off white type color.
New distributor, aftermarket, with Denso wires and NGK plugs.
The head is "marked" in a certain location by me to set it apart from all the other gsr heads on the market.
Cheap short ram intake. silver with many scratches. blue Spectre filter along with another small breather filter on the valve cover, also blue.
SKunk2 Pro series cam gears.
Skunk2 Cam seal, that is halfway painted silver to distinguish that its mine. You cannot clean it either, its permanent.

B18C block
It is "stamped", and marked as well. Tranny is also marked and stamped.

THE WHOLE MOTOR AND TRANNY WAS SPRAYED WITH VARIOUS COATS OF METALLIC SPRAY. IT LOOKS ABSOLUTELY BRAND NEW. YOU CAN TELL IT APART FROM ANY OTHER MOTOR YOU SEE AROUND THIS AREA. IT IS ONE OF A KIND....WITH THAT "STAMP", WITH THE PAINT, AND WITH THE MARK, YOU CANNOT GET AWAY WITH IT.

I have been down this road 2 times now, and it sucks. I love hondas, and integras are very sexy, but i cannot afford for this to happen again. My next car will be something AWD turbo. I will own another Honda one day, maybe an ITR, but not anytime soon. Its time to get my **** together and move on. Try something else, but apparantly they got something out for me. I cannot continue to let this happen.

The only way to stop theft, is to not drive you car. Keep it parked in the garage all day. And whats the point of that??? I want a car that i can drive in the winter, summer and anything in between. Its a hassle owning 2 cars, to keep the integra alive, and even like that, if they want it, they will find a way to take it.

Hondatech has been very helpful over the years, and i will continue to give back with my knowledge and suggestions, but as for owning another honda...thats not in my near future.

Thanks again and please contact me with any info you might have, especially people in the Northeastern area.

I will continue to update this thread with pictures, info and more parts that i might have forgotten so please spread the word...

if a thief wants the car, they will find a way to get it. Whether it has a quick release steering wheel or not. Its not the first time ive heard about it.

The only way to stop theft, is to own something that is not as highly stolen...

Hondas have always been a popular make to steal and it doesnt seem to buying down anytime soon. Things change and evolve, but not stop.

With the huge variety of motors that can easily go into civics and integras, the possibilities are endless for them. RSXs, TLs, Integras, Legends, TSXs, S2ks, and even CRVs are at risk because all those motors can easily fit the POS cars these motherf*ckers drive.

Yea pretty its come to the point where the only place they are safe is in your garage, where you can keep an eye on it all the time. Never take it out and enjoy the hard work you put into it.

If you take it to any shows, you have to be careful. You cannot enjoy events or just driving around and taking a cruise, because someone might spot you, follow you, and a week later, the car will be gone...

sorry bro, some get them back with little stolen or you get them back with not a part left on em. Hope you get the other way. I bought another integra after mine was stolen and I'd probably buy a 3rd if something happened to this, but i understand you're wanting to get away from them. Good luck on the recovery.

jesus why are ppl not doing stealth installs on there integras!??!?! you would think 2nd time around you would do research and get a stealth alarm, my stealth saved my 01 gsr last month, they couldnt figure it out so they left it....same night they got a jdm front integra...like i said ppl need to stop spending money on mods and do SECURITY RIGHT THE FIRST TIME

and your comment the only way to stop theft is to stop driving? if you did research

a steath alarm they HAVE to tow your car PERIOD no if ands or butts, if you also get a STEALTH installed gps, (not lo jack) the gps will call you if its moved to a pre set level, its live gps you can log in anywhere online and lead them the cops to there chop shop before they even start taking stuff out

if you can sleep thru your pager, and the gps calling you then you deserve to get it stolen

i really dont get why ppl are not doing security as there first mod, but insist on wheels, susp, motor, then decide to just get a alarm installed by some place like best buy or alarm shop, these shops dont care about your car and will install the alarm easily where the thief can cut your alarm!

did you at least relocate your hood cable? which takes like 5min to do heres how they stole your car

1. they go thru driver fender liner to pop hood cable
2. they find a siren to cut (all alarm isntallers put it EASILY in site)
3. with no noise they go and open your door
4. if your integra has a imobilizer system ( i know 2001s do i think 2000's do too) they take a obd2 > obd1 harness and put a regular obd1 ecu in your car THUS going around the immobilize system
5. they start ur car via breaking your ignition or watever means they do

on my 01 gsr last month, they didnt even get inside the car

1. they went thru the driver fender liner and popped hood cable(i relocated it already now)
2. the hood sensor set the alarm off
3. they went and try and find siren to cut...its stealth installed along with the ENTIRE alarm system they couldnt find it
4. they then removed the battery cables, alarm has a back up battery so it kept ringing
5. by this time i heard my pager, and went outside to find the hood popped and the thieves gone

this method they use there in/out in about 5min or less.

come back to integras/hondas but DO YOUR RESEARCH dont belive in the IF THEY WANT IT they will get it hype

because a stealth installed alarm with gps= even if they tow it (which they have to) there leading you right to the chop shop.

I understand youre coming from Gant, and it makes a lot of sense...but around here, if they cant steal it when its parked, they will just follow you and steal it while youre driving.

Carjacking has been an increasing problem around my area, so its better for them to take it while im not around than for them to potentially harm me to get the car.

Apparantly they have been eyeing the car for a bit now. About 3 months ago, i cracked a valve and decided to do a full rebuild. I worked for 3 months straight on buying the stuff i needed, late nights working on the car. It was my sweat and hard work that got the car to where it was, and what took me 3 months to do, they will undo in a matter of hours.

My last car had LOJACK, and was recovered 2 hours later after they took it, BUT it was already pretty much stripped. They had 6 guys working on it and i got back only some stuff. I then decided to buy another integra because i got a couple of parts back. I rent out a garage, about a block away from my house, to keep the car stored and havent had a problem in 3 years of me owning it. It look literally one time for them to spot the car, and probably wait for me somewhere...

This integra, however, i highly doubt i will get anything back. It did not have LOJACK but i was in the process of getting it in a couple of weeks. I literally just got it out on the road, which makes me believe that they knew what process i was going through, and waited til it was all set and done for them to take it. They are not stupid, they know when to take the car. They will wait until you put all the parts in and finish it off, then take it. When it comes to hustling and making money the illegal way, thieves are great. But thats all they are good for. I just wished they would have crashed the f*cking car, that would make me feel a lot better.

Im tired of living my life with the worry if my car will be there when i return. You have to live in fear and hate every single day and it just takes the beauty away of owning such a good car.

If anyone is in need of a stock gsr block with 80k on it, a full integra AC system, a full integra PS system, GSR blades with Azenis, or a p72 obd2b computer, please let me know.

I need to get rid of my remaining stuff...its bad enough i have to look at it thinking thats all i have left of my precious baby.

Sorry to hear about the stolen cars. My first civic was broken into but not stolen. Some things I do to keep my car from getting stolen, if you guys even care... I know it wont help you find your car but in the future..
-If you have an external coil just take your coil wire with you whenever you leave your car parked somewhere. Its what I have done.
-You can also get one of these which I have too

http://www.autobarn.net/autolockpro....te=google_base

they come with a $5000 guarantee, I just put it on my clutch pedal so they cant start the car let alone drive it... make sure you get the PRO with the cylinder lock instead of the regular flat key.
