Default Trailing arm bushings...

What did you use to remove the left over rubber that sits in the trailing arm ring?
What did you use to remove the rubber stuck on the cross pin?

I was thinking wire wheel for the cross pin but I don't want to buy something that will turn out to be useless or less effective...

I used a chisel and a BFH and just wacked those rings out of the trailing arm completely. I then replaced them with solid PU bushings from Prothane. I later removed those and put in some solid metal bushings from Special Projects. Both were a pretty good upgrade from stock.

I got the ES bushing. According to the instructions, I'm supposed to keep the ring... So I gotta remove all the old rubber that kinda bounded to it.

Oh, I forgot that the ES bushings reuse the stock ring. Just use a propane torch and melt it out. It is a little stinky and a bit of smoke but it be a lot faster than a wire wheel or dremel. Good luck!

So I just heat it up until it liquifies and then scrap it with a spatula?
There is a brake line back there, I guess I should disconnect it? Or just be really careful with the blow torch?

Also I did not notice which way the cross pin sat in the bushing. Looking at the cross pin, there are 2 different types of holes for the bolts... 1 is perfectly round, while the other is oval. I'm guess the oval is the one that goes inside, while the round one goes on the outside?

Get the torch on the rubber and use a chisel or something flat to pry it clean. Yes, you should definitely unbolt the 12mm bolt for the ebrake cable and move it to the side before getting heat on the arm.

The oval side one goes on the outside.
