96-00 Civic rear sway bar endlink discovery
Just thought I'd post up my findings in hopes that it might help someone else later on down the road.
Okay so here's a quick rundown of what I've been doing over the past 2-3 days. I was installing the ASR rear subframe brace, 22mm ITR rear sway bar with the prothane sway bar bushings but I still needed the endlinks. And as most people on here know you can get ASR, Function 7, BLOX, hardrace, ect... or just go and buy new OEM 99-00 SI ones. However, I am completely out of money and can not afford to buy any of those, lol.
My next best option was to find used EM1 endlinks but to my dissatisfaction those are not a common thing that people sell. Now I don't know how it is everywhere else in the country but around here 99-00 SI's aren't easy to come by in the local junkyards. So back to the original problem, what do I use???
Answer, I went to the junkyard and pulled the rear swaybar endlinks from a 01-05 Civic just to see if they were even relatively close. I don't know how they compare in length with the 99-00 SI ones but from what I can tell they are pretty much a perfect fit. I walked out with both of them for $15.
I'll post some pics in a couple of days. I'm still waiting on the bushings to come for the ends of the sway bar, but I still bolted everything up for a "test fit" and like I said before, they fit just about as perfect as I would want them to.
