Do i need to swap, or replace head?
okay so here is the low down, i have a 90 accord lx with 392,000. cylinder 2as no compression, according to my mechanic he was saying that the valve is cracked, either a corner or something. people have been telling me i should just replace the head, others swap the engine. what do you guys think?
are you just looking to gety it running or changes in power or such.....while changing the head will fix the problem(presumeably) doin a full jdm swap will give you a motor in the car with usually under 50,000 miles on it and will ensure the car will run for the forseeable future.....HT has all the resources to perform your own motor swap if you so choose
just looking to be a DD so straight f22a1 to f22a1, i have an rx-7 for my speed needs. anyways unfortunately i am new user and have to wait the 15 day 5 post limit before i can access the FAQ section. Do you anyone where i can pick a used motor, jdm or not idk. becuase i have a local who is selling a f22a1 with around 156,XXX for 300 CAD, its been sitting for a year, do you think thats a good option **previous owner put in new clutch about 2000km i have receipt plus it grabs nice. I only plan on owning the car for about a 2 years maybe 3.
yea i dont have a preference i have a RWD(Rx8) and my front wheel drive accord......for 300 id say its a deal.....just make sur e the maintenance was kept up on it n do a full tune up/maintenance on it
okay thats good know, should i be concerned that it has been sitting for a year? i need this thing to pass emissions in 1 go i don't want to be looking around for another engine.
