Default Kill switch and alarm? Confused!

So when I bought my car, the guy showed me the kill switch and alarm and everything and it's the one thing we didn't check before I bought it. (stupid, I know)

Anyways, it's a 95 GSR and it has a keyless entry and the car beeps when it locks and unlocks. However there is no alarm when you open the door while the alarm should be initiated. The car can't start while it's on though. Under the hood, he gave me a key and showed me the alarm thing. Turn it one way and the car doesn't beep when you lock/unlock it and the other way makes it beep, I figure that means that's where the alarm should be.

How do I go about fixing it?

He also showed me where the kill switch was and it's a button, how does that work?

dont know about the alarm, but the killswitch your talking about is most likely a starter or fuel pump kill, pretty much shuts the fuel p or starter of so that the car can't start when the button is engaged

It's not that type of button, it's just like a button on say a ps3 controller. You press it in and it comes back out, and the car still starts.

Sounds like a momentary type of switch like this one? http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=2062496 Sounds like it would be used for an ignition kill but if you can start the car then I am confused like you.

Ok, I was playing around with it and I found out what it does. Pretty much if you don't use the keyless entry to unlock the car, then the car can't start but you can press the kill switch and it will allow you to start the car.

The alarm still doesn't go off though so I don't know what up with it. I looked under the hood and figured out what is hooked up to it though. It's a UNGO SAI 7355. Anyone know about them? Can't find any info online.

I know it's weird... But there must be a reason for it... Like if I lose the keyless entry and I need to use my spare key. It's not all that different from a normal kill switch.
