Default H22 Tuned with low HP results

My Prelude is finally finished but it didn't put the numbers out that I was expecting. The final tune showed 8psi 290 HP and 18psi 385 HP. Don't get me wrong these are good numbers but not compared to similar builds.

JE 9:1 pistons
eagle rods
iron ductile sleeved block
micro polished crank
port & polished head
ferrea valves, springs, retainers
wiesco head gasket
holset hx35
walbro 255
3 in exhaust
tial wategate, blow off valve
1000cc injectors
stock intake

I just feel that 18psi is a ton of boost to only be at 385hp. What are your opinons?

I think your numbers are decent, there is potential for more from your build. what was your target? you injectors say 500 you have about 430 at the crank.

If you live in eastern PA i know some crazy tuners in nj and ny that do solid 150$ dyno tunes in less than an hour and a half on the spot by apt

A new manifold for sure, port the head, take it to a real tuner and tune it on a real program.

Your cam timing may be off one tooth. ?

My bet is on the turbo, not the tuner.

What size turbo? A bigger turbo will make more power on less boost. If you are on a turbo like a 18G, you will have a problem making power like most DSMs.

anyone can find a dyno to make their car numbers look high. As mentioned above, take it to the track or drag strip and
put some real numbers down.

He said holset hx35, those are for a 5.9L cummins. That turbo should make incredible power on that much boost. so reguardless of the dyno being off it shouldnt be off nearly 150-200 hp.

I'm thinking it may be your cam timing (your other post you mentioned high EGT's) your stock IM is limiting you a little, but not that much.

Ditch that Crome crap and get some real management and possibly another tuner......
Don't get hung up on those Dyno #'s. And remember PSI is almost meaningless. We can talk CFM if you want to.
There are so many issues that could be present, but I think starting with tuning should be #1.
