hey i have a d16y8 swap in my 96 ek
i reused the y7 harness so i rewired
the IAC and the 3 vtec wires..my check engine
is on because im using the y7 headers
is that true ?

 

Why don't you scan the code and find out. Its impossible to tell. You are purely guessing at this point.

 

or atleast jump the service connector and look it up. then reset the ECU and if it comes up again, then u know u need to fix it.

and what ECU are u using

 

well i have a problem 2 i got a 93 eg and a 98 vtec head and dizzy. my block is still a dx so i did the swap and it ran wit my dx dizzy and it ran like crap. so i got a jumper harness and used the vtec dizzy now it wont start wat is wrong?????

B: You why did you get a jumper harness? For the Dizzy? You are already OBD1. Get and OBD1 VTEC ECU. And an OBD1 VTEC Dizzy
