chip it, and if you're using crome just uncheck the vtec box in the options menu.

The ecu would have to be socketed/chipped with a non-vtec program.

If you or a friend have another vtec ecu (besides a p72) laying around that’s socketed then I would give it try and see if it’ll hit vtec, but then hitting WOT in vtec without a wideband will be a hit and miss not knowing the A/F ratio is lean/rich.

ignore this lol I don’t know how it got posted here when I was posting on another post. Damn iPhone!!!!

Yes I can be disabled once it’s chipped. In all the tuning softwares under vtec there’s a little box to check or uncheck to disable or enable vtak

I am wondering if Jumper 10 has any impact on the vtec circuitry.
Would snipping J10 disable the vtec circuitry?

The non vtec P06 ECU doesn't have anything in J10 and to add the vtec components you have to add a jumper wire to J10 as well as the other components.
I asked about this idea in my thread but no one has responded.
It could be no one knows for sure.
