No, this is not "can you put AP2 headlights on a AP1.
I'm doing the AP2 headlight swap. I was originally going to mod headlights to fit the AP1 ballasts. But I think that later down the road, there will be moisture and rattling issues.
I found AP2 ballasts for $315 with igniters (both). So I bought the AP2 ballasts to reduce head aches. I'll make my money back selling the AP1 ballasts anyway (hopefully).
ANYWAY the AP2 needs a small section of wire to attatch the ballast to the car's harness.
It's honda part number 33147-S2A-A11.
It is in this illustration. Part number 14.

I don't have this harness and it's a little pricey from Honda. Does anyone know if it's just wires or is there a resistor in there as well?
If it's just wires, I can find the plugs from a junkyard. They look like either VTEC plugs or reverse switch plugs. Honda uses a lot of the same plugs on a lot of stuff...so...I'm sure I could find a solution if it's just wires.
If there's a resistor in it, how many OHMs is the resistor? The AP1 wiring looks like there's a little resistor there. But it's a totally different ballast with totally different wiring.
Finally...does anyone know of any harnesses for sale?

I actually found out some stuff. Hopefully this will help people in the future:
I was right. The plugs are the same as civic/integra/other model reverse switch plugs. The ones located on the harness clipped to the transmission on civics/integras. Manual ones at least. I'm not sure if the automatic ones are the same.
You need 2 male and 2 female for 2 headlights. There is no resistor in line. It's just wires.
You can make your own harness by raiding 2 cars at a junkyard. Save $46 per harness or $32 per harness depending on where you get it from. That's a ridiculous price to pay for 2 freaking wires.
