Default What size power wire for battery relocation?

Should I use 4 gauge wire to run to my battery in the trunk? I searched the forums and had no luck on wire size. Thanks for any advice!

0/1 gauge.. some1 did a resistance test with different gauges, and the 0/1 is the best..
im gonna do the same thing soon.. i already have a cable made. im gonna put a remote terminal in the engine bay for the positive, and run the wire down the passenger side of the car into the trunk...

I used zero gauge. A tank full of gas would be more noticeable than my wire as far as weight is concerned.

The only reason I ask is because it would seem that you would only do this in a race-car... Most racers are also weight conscious so I would imagine less weight would be something you wouldn't ignore. Especially since 4 will work just fine.

if your consinderd about weight get a race battery and relocate that.. the weight savings for the battery would off set the weight gain for the wires and then some

Yeah people never think of this. lost weight adds up, and when your talking about cars that weigh 2000lbs. or less, 20 lbs. counts... especially if you can find 10 places to save 20 pounds...
Fat guys shouldn't race honda's
