So I have a type R with an LS motor in it, it has a blown head gasket and there are a few other things that it needs. i dont really feel like bothering with it anymore, just seeing how much i can get for the car as is. it is a PY 2000 ITR #0141 with 131K miles, The Tachometer is not working.A/c is not working, nor is the P/S. it needs a new left front fender and there are a few marks above the driver side door where someone tried to pry it open with a screw driver. Interior is very clean. Just dont have the time to mess around with it anymore as it it my daily and i need something newer. New Spec Clutch.It also has Koni Blues over eibach springs and a 3in magnaflow exhaust. any input would be appreciated. CLEAN TITLE IN HAND

??? You just picked her up! Did the whole theft prevention talk in your intro thread scare you away? If you want to get rid of it because you can't properly care for it I'm glad . . . BUT if that is not the case, I am afraid you'll regret it. I do understand how going to school and not having a lot of money while doing so is very hard. I know I just got it, but i realized that i need something more reliable for the time being and this is not it. I already have enough bills to pay for and selling this will help me out a lot, Im sure ill regret it in the end, but i have no choice right now

 

Those situations suck, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. It's not worth suffering while still not being able to care for/maintain the R. Wait till your life is a little more figured out, then get back in the game the right way.

OUCH! Did you know it had these problems and motor swap before hand?

 

knew it had the swap, but no problems until now, the fender happened while i was driving on the highway, and i think my fender liner was loose and it got caught under my wheel and ripped it out.

 

should be able to get around 5000 out of it.

still, if i were you i would paint the wheels gunmetal, buy a jdm itr engine and fix the body, you spend $2500 on all of it and sell the car for 10,000

 

Around 5 to 6 grand. a Mint Shell runs for around 8 Grand so

 

a mint sell does not sell for 8 grand i bought my real 98 cw itr for 9g had engine bay tuck spoon crate motor and suspension was all done up. came across a good deal only was that it had a little fender bender but i fixed it for 100 and just need to buy a new hood

i think it would cost more then 2500 to do that.. the engine along is pretty pricey and he would probably need the full swap which is around 3500 to 4k for a jdm itr.. and the fact he doesnt have money to throw around like that.. i say fixing the head gasket shouldnt be hard

3k? sheet for an ITR? lowballers these days. the wheels/suspension probably cost like 2k alone.

 

wheels and suspension would go for about 1500 the interior 1000 so wat else is left a ls motor with a blown head gasket???
