Default My Purgatory.

I've been in Northern Alaska since june 24th working at the port of a mine for a tug boat company. I work 12 hours a day 7 days a week and my only entertainment is going downstairs to smoke or troll the internet and buy ****.

I can't stop ordering parts...

everything is going into my H22A-T swapped 94 4d Accord

i had planned to buy these items since i got here, and i did;

ARP head bolts
Head Gasket
mini Ramhorn
Tial WG
Greddy RZ BOV
680cc injectors
AC Fuel rail
AC FPR
AC Cam Gears
AC Boost/A-F/oil temp gauges
AC Short Shifter
Greddy Catch Can
CF hood
MSD coil, Cap rotor and wires
Optima Battery
Phearable ECU
Hondata MAP sensor

now... where i got a little crazy;
SIR floor mats
SIR lip
SIR rear spoiler
SIR Head lights
Clear front bumper blinkers
Clear rear side markers
Skunk2 IM
Skunk2 TB
Skunk2 Stage 1 Turbo cams
AC Cam plugs
Fluydine Radiator
Fans
Radiator Hoses
O2 sensor
Optiman Battery Hold down and relocation kit

then i just got bored cuz theres no decent women or any alcohol up here;
black red stitch ITR front seats
black red stitch 4d ITR rear seats (gonna take some work to fit them)
black and red stitch arm rest/shift boot and e break boot
s2000 steering wheel
harness bar
harnesses
Alpine deck
Alpine 6.5's
Alpine 6x9's
Alpine 12 " subs
Alpine mono amp
Alpine 4 ch amp
Cap

figured id buy a new electric guitar and an acoustic as well.

and currently in my shopping cart i have mahle pistons, eagle rods, skunk2 valve springs and retainers and SK2 valves... But im tired of blowing money... i think ill wait until i have to replace the pistons before i do any of that.

Well, you've certainly got your work cut out for yourself.
This car will be operated in the lower 48 states, right? Alaska has a definite shortage of highways, most are dirt and none are straight, so your cruising options would be greatly limited
I could see an opportunity here though. Production rights for a new action movie:
"The Frigid and the Furious"
No? How about:
"Really Pale Rider"

Just a thought

Hopefully after two years somrthing will have been installed.

It's one thing to boast about how much you want to do, and quite another thing to follow through.

Oh S***t, I just realized; that would qualify someone for the Nobel Peace Prize........

Hahahaha! I'm an Obama supporter and I thought the Prize business was ridiculous! (Congrats to Mr. Obama regardless...)

Same. I hear they work great, then I hear they fail constantly.

Confusing stuff, but I usually hear more good than bad.

Can't wait to see pictures/videos of this thing! Sounds like it'll be sweet!

I actually hear that the first production run of the Mahle pistons with the gold coating on them were really bad and the measure of the coating was insufficient. The 2nd generation of that same piston is meant to be considerably better.

were is always hiring, within. i only got the job cuz my dad has worked the foss's seattle ship yard for 15 years. everyone here has a family member or a close family friend who works for us. if you go to their website and click the careers and go to where you send in a resume' you get a run around.

but believe me this job blows. the pay is intredible. but going away for 4 months 200 miles above the artic circle... same food, same people, same EVERYTHING. i work from 6pm to 6am 7 days a week. ive had 1 day off since august 15th. before that i've had maybe 10-15 days off only because i was laboring and a 3 foot swell will put us down, not to mention we moved a record amount of lead and zinc for the month of july. 9 ships; 500,000ish tonnes of product.

Thats the aftermath of the parts list when i got home from Alaska.

then i felt the urge to buy a truck

started doing some exterior work

then some to the interior

then after 6 months of the H22A sitting in my garage... i finally dropped it in yesterday.

and i still have boxes of parts...

the car is an *******... went to turn it over lastnight... nothing... no power to the dash, starter wont engauge, fuel pump isnt priming. i got the power to the dash... head lights etc fixed today... im thinking i have bad grounds or a loose connection somewhere. fuel pump... when i bought the car the guy said the stereo had been stolen 4324 times, it had some lamepurple wanna be projectors in it with the most obnoxious wiring job ive ever seen, while pulling them out i may have pulled a ground or something for the fuel pump relay.

im gonna go test the starter see whats up with that.

If ordering parts such as pistons and rods etc, why not check out www.bisimoto.com for advice and parts? They should be able to help you out with your build...

Have you upgraded your cams yet? that would be a superb place to start..

turbo build H22A, the stock cams are amazing for boost. i dont care to spend 780 on cams plus the 250 for springs and another 200 for retainers that will give me 50-75hp? if i ever feel like going for a 700+hp accord, definitley.

plus the money that I've put into my car has went to two places. SpeedFactory in Tacoma and HorsepowerFreaks in portland, i stay local.

4d ITR rear seats in a CD accord, rewraped the rear deck with suede, dont have the panels back up yet. IF i put the speakers in im putting them under the deck so it stays flush.

4D seats fit with little to no modification, just have to make your own mounts.

i just want to drive it already.

As Peeonu25 said, upgrading the cams is not exactly a starter mod if you already are going boost. He will make plenty of power regardless.

You going to try out some Mahle pistons or possibly resleeve so you don't have to deal with the FRM bulls**t?

HorsepowerFreaks FTW. They are great!
