NO HEAT: ITS GETTING COLD
so my 88 crx dx doesnt have heat. i got the car with no blower housing or anything so ive been scavenging up parts, cleaning them up and puttin new foam seals in there and everything and bam i have air. that was nice. still no heat tho. im wondering what can happen to a heater core to make it not produce heat... doesnt the blower motor blow air across the heater core? the heater core to my knowledge is a metal coil that the coolant flows through to make the air warm... the hoses for coolant to and from the heater core get warm when the vehicle is running. what is the deal?
try checking to see if the control valve is working properly. Follow the coolant hose coming from the engine area going into the firewall, the control valve is a black thing with the heater control line connected to it.
it's probably an issue with the cable that opens the coolant control valve
