Shortened Koni Sports
I tried going from CG to stock springs on my Konis, but I noticed the shock travel is alot shorter than my stock strut. I never had a new set of Koni's. I'm at the least the 3rd owner of the set I have. I cannot raise the car up at all because the shock is fully extended. I looked at he part number on the side and it was 8041-1152. I know you can have them revalved or shortened but would there be any designation on it?
I thought the sports could be used as stock replacements, do the 8041s come in stock length? Do I have some modded Konis?

you might want to PM user 'vtecvoodoo' (ryan)
he is very close to Lee Grimes/Koni due to his position at Eibach so he might be able to assist.
I just got my new full set of Koni Sports yesterday from T H Motorsports. Only took 48 hours to arrive from my phonecall order (thumbs up).
Anyways, my old Konis in front say 8041-1152 SP3 and are definitely shorter than my new set and stock set.
I thought the race version was something like SSP3 or something else?

GL.
It's possible. The sport yellows and race versions have the same skew # on Koni's site. It says the way to tell is if it is shortened or not. Unless they are the 2800 series.

Oh yeah, FYI these have 4-5 grooves for the circlip as opposed to the 2 on my new set. I took a pic but I've been on this site only via iPhone and work. I just moved and don't have Internet yet
